Keeping the club afloat through merchandise sales. Replica shirts must be one of the big sellers. FWIW no one is forcing you to buy a new shirt every year. If you feel your being sucked in by advertising, thats your problem. I haven't bought a replica shirt in my life.

(Although thats mainly because the first thing to go on my birthday/xmas list every year is the new top. I love having a birthday so close to xmas, it practically guarantees it for me!)

i agree with needed revenue from merchandise. But why can't they just change 1 kit then? home or away this year and alternate. I take it you don't have children then? I dont get sucked into anything but you try explaining that to a kid. I have already posted elsewhere about my season tickets for next year. My wife gives birth in november so we are hoping to take the baby to some sunday games with us. The club on the other hand want £20 + for the baby to be added to our tickets so we can bring it. £20 for what??? Now im all for the club making money, but that is greed.

All i can think of is maybe insurance or something.
