Used to love it when we were kids. There were thousands lining the streets. Off to Church St. social club, then Alberts, then Bank Quay for train to Blackpool. It has always been a mickey up from day 1.
walking day is losing its tradition..gone are the days when parents took great pride(i know some still do)in their children by dressing them in there sunday best..the kids in turn were given money from there families...then may be off to the fair or elsewhere....now its a p up for some..as someone has already posted fights breaking out ....who would want there children any where near that.....its a great shame its come to this but the scum element are driving law abiding people away......
