18 tries (not sure if that includes yesterday - the player stats section of the club website is rubbish).

Would you class that as double digits?

On his way to living a happy life.

Mr King has defiantly turned the corner, he now seems more settled and it's showing in his game, he was always great at bringing the ball out from the line but his defence had improved ten fold for me, 3 tackles he made after one another in extra time shown his commitment to the cause and his celebrations after the drop-goal again shown his passion and commitment to the club.

Some small work on his positional play and a few less handling errors and he should be back to the player that we all seen in Australia and to think some people wanted him dropped for Penny

Big grin on his face during the interview. Obviously enjoying his rugby more now.

That does include yesterday, it said on the BBC after his try "18 tries from 44 games"

He has improved greatly over the past few weeks but let's not get carried away. His wing positional play is still poor - he was so far out of position for Rover's first try it was embarrassing. If that would have been Penny it would have been given it's own topic on this board.

His work rate can never be faulted and I'm pleased he's starting to show some form but he's still some way short of what we were all expecting.

Work in progress but very promising - let's hope he keeps it up!!

Yeah, I was disappointed with that, I thought they did us tactically with that try.

We know that Cooke likes to throw those long passes, and it was clearly a set move, as their winger was right on the sideline, and we just didn;t spot it.

I'm somewhere we you are.

I've been so impressed with him lately, but for daft stuff like work rate, which you should get anyway. I think he's benefitting this year from lower expectations, last year, he had a spell where he simply couldn't catch the ball, he literally couldn't put a foot right, and from there, he's improved out of sight, so we're all supa pleased with him.

Is he 'class', No. Does he do anything skillful in a game, No. Does he give it 100%, Yes. That's fine with all of us then, but he's not a Gidley or a Lyon so he does leave you feling a tiny bit shortchanged.

2009..........2010...........2011............2012..........2016..........2017

the thing about King is his first two real involvements in the game were a poor defensive read which allowed Hull to Score and then a knock on when put free by Bridge.....

I can think of other wingers that would get those points highlighted to the hilt if they had made them...

however King then found some form and out paced peter fox.....then out jumped peter fox .....then reacted quicker than peter fox to creat one try and score a great try.....

peter fox also dropped a high kick and knocked on at a play the ball

Now if I was a cock, I could nip on to the Hull Kr board and say
"that Peter Fox is crap, he cant catch, cant tackle and isnt as fast as Matt King...."
