If John Clarke is stood in centrefield, the ref has his hand in the air and is spitting as he shouts "Laaaaaaasstttt", there's only one player I want the ball to go to.
His kick to the corner for Kings try was excellent, the other one wasn't bad that King fumbled, but it's the little things he does, like knowing when quicks hands is the order or when to delay a pass etc.
I think to be fair, if you look at the Briers we've got now, to say, his 'prime' he might not be who he was obviously, a yard slower, kicking game might not be as deadly, but I'm 100% sure in my mind I've never seen a more commited Lee Briers in all his time since 1997. I've never seen a Lee Briers defend & look like he wants to defend as much, so I'm happy with what we've got, my only regret is that you can't wind back the clock and make him 22 again, and keep this version of him.
There's not a player in the squad I'd love to see get his hands on some silverware more than him, here's to hoping.
Ps, One more year.
