I get you. It's filled with a lot of O/T stuff of late, at least this kind of concerns us, although there's no Wire players in the side, our coach is England's coach, and it is RL debate afterall, a rarity during the mid-week after a win

This is a forum where you can genuinely commend (let's say) James Graham as a stand-out forward , and then have a numpty on here say he is gash because he plays for Saints and not us. Said poster is typically unaware that SL stats show him to have carried 20% more meters than the next forward in SL and vastly out perform Morley and Rauhihi in near enough any aspect of rugby league which matters.

did you know Stats also show that warrington are the club with the best record against Wigan.

it means little really doesnt it....?

which also can be said when Comparing James Graham's carries against Adrian Morleys...

Warrington being at the ar$e end of the division suprisingly  do not have as much of the ball to carry as your say top of the League Saint Helens for example

So say do a comparison on metres per carry for example to be fair. wouldnt that be interesting.....or would it mean giving some credit to a warrington player...??

Can you bring your Id next time your on here i'm not sure you really are a Wires fan.....

I think you are doing Morley a great dis-service there. What the stats don't show is actual game time for each player. I would imagine that Graham has played more minutes than Morley even though both have 11 appearances. For example you will see that Morley's "metres per carry" is significantly greater than Graham's.

As for Rauhihi well a comparison against Graham will not do him any favours I'm sure however if you did a like for like against Saints no. 3 prop I'm sure they don't fair too bad.

Obviously Graham is a fantastic player and as you say for anybody to suggest different classifies that person as a numpty (it is Des we're on about here, so case proven) however for you to dismiss Morley, in particular, and Rauhihi in a similar manner would also suggest you should be likewise be classified as a numpty (which for the benefit of forum peace I will clarify I know you are anything but (most of the time)).

Ainscough should nail down a place on the wigan team before he gets one in the England set up. Also, surely there it would be better to pick an established player instead of Wheeler.

Would anyone have JJB in the team, he doesn't always impress me

I believe Wellens is having a stand out season in 2009, and would love to see him at full back for Wire this year. I'd also like to see Sinfield pull on the PnB jersey either this year or next. Am I misguided in thinking these are class players that would improve our squad? Is it still fashionable to deride players just because they play for rival, more successful, SL sides?

I am talking about England not club RL.

Wellens, Sinfield = International Failures. END OF STORY

Fair dos.

Just for clarity the reason I mentioned Morley and Rauhihi in my case is that these are good players too. It was by means of a strengthening the comparison. I was in no way having a pop at them. The stats are quite striking though even if you factor in game time and relative teams performance.

My point still stands, on here we find it difficult to recognise superb RL players who play for our rivals.

No, SOME posters find it difficult. Sweeping generalisations on here are nearly as irritating as the stupid opinions.

What makes him my pal? Any more than him being your pal? Or you being my pal? I do hope you are not trying to stir up trouble.

Can we get back to discussing topics, preferably mainly RL ones, rather than discussing/arguing with each other?
