Does anyone else think that Tony sounds a bit like Ernie out of Sesame Street?

come on chaps give it a rest. Much like people shouldnt have slated Smith when you lost a few at the start you shouldnt get too giddy over a couple of win just yet. Long way to go.

I think you should be reflecting on your team not being able to beat 13 traffic cones.

I know and I appreciate that. Personally I dont see what is wrong with what I have wrote and the term **ck is a little strong.

Why should we? Serious question, why?

This is a Warrington forum, for Warrington fans to discuss the club. We are all happy with the Smith signing, and the changes he is making, so why the hell should we give it a rest. Nobody is going round saying we will win the league, just that he is doing a good job, and things are looking up.

My point was that comments like this

are a little OTT given you have won 2 games. I also commented that people jump in too quickly to critisise when its not going well but this jumping in is also being done too soon regarding how good Smith is doing. Its too soon yet.

Now, where in those very reasonable comments is there anything that is either not true or out of order?

Ahh right, surely they could beat the worst Bradford side you've seen in the past 13 years? I mean....it's not that hard is it?

evidently it was. That side is still the worst Bradford side in well over a decade as proven by where they are in the league and the fact that they have players like Worrincy, Platt and Ricky Sheriff playing in it rather than Hape, Vainikolo and Peacock.

The above is a perfectly reasonable comment given that TS is the first coach we've had since the 1970s who has actually won a senior trophy with another club before coming to us.

Well, lets forget about what he's won at other clubs as it really doesnt matter. Lets just stick to what he's done at Warrington.

Are you seriously telling me that Smith is the best thing that has happened to Warrington in that length of time because hehas turned the side from a few straight losses into 2 wins on the bounce?

No, but Smith is without question the coach with the best track record to be at this club for thirty years. While nothing is guaranteed, the fans can have no quarrel with the club's choice here. Remarks about this are much more based on his potential ( which even you can't deny he has ) rather than where he's taken the current squad in half-a-dozen games.

So Tony Smith gives up a job at a top SL club to have a dig at International RL. Only to give it up at the first opportunity.

Makes sense if you are an eejit I guess.
