Didn't William Webb Ellis pick up the ball and run, someone should really tell Rugby Union.

Anybody but Labour. I mean, what kind of Government leads us into a global recession.

Strongly support Brown's methods of getting the country out of recession, the Conservative way would mean the NHS and the Education system taking a big funding cut.

Also dislike the fact that the Conservatives have not as yet laid out any Economic Policy, purely because they don't really know what to do.

Labour generally align with most of my political beliefs: Strong NHS, Strong Education System and defiant against oppressive political regimes.

May i also strongly encourage a Labour Vote on June 4th in the European Election. There is a strong possiblity that the BNP will win a seat from Labour due to the Proportional Representation system. A Win for the BNP would be a nightmare and give support to discrimination and inequality.

Whilst appreciating your views, I wonder if you have given consideration to :-

Brown's methods of getting the country out of recession Most, if not all political commentary has denounced the recent budget based on unrealistic expectations of recovery not shared by any respected economist and at direct odds with the views of the IMF. Classic example of incompetence was the totally ineffective VAT cut.

Conservative economic policies - are actually explained quite clearly here http://www.conservatives.com/Policy/Whe ... onomy.aspx

Strong education system - failed policy of educational academies but worse of all introducing tuition fees putting students from a less well of background at a disproportionate disadvantage to those from richer families.

Defiance against oppressive political regimes - Check out our ineffective foreign policy in relation to Zimbabwee to name just one example.

Any how it's all just opinions.

Probably the same one which unreservedly took huge credit for previous global economic growth and eliminated the boom and bust cycle for the UK economy?

Labour, simply on the "better the devil you know" principle.

However, if the ballot paper had a box for "I want to vote, but there is no candidate standing that I wish to vote for" then I would tick that one (as, I believe, would millions of others).

The cynicism in this thread saddens me, but doesn't surprise me. I do not think that most MPs are involved for personal gain. Some are, but I think the vast majority are committed to making the country/world a better place and think that their party will be the one to do it.

I will vote Labour. I always have and whilst I may not like some aspects of current Labour Party policy, I know that their general world view is close to mine.

I would never not vote.

I used to be a tory because i sit slightly right of centre but there is just no common sense coming from the big parties anymore.
If there was a common sense party i would vote for them but at the moment the only party talking sense is UKIP.

I agree, we should vote. It's a bit corny but people ran at machine guns so we could have the freedom to do this stuff. The least we can do is get off our fat lazy arses and vote.

I don't have any particular loyalty but I voted for Labour last time and Blair is my 3rd favourite Tony after my Dad and our coach.

I understand your point and I lay the blame quite squarely at the door of the New Labour concept and it's spin, deception and duplicity in causing this air of malcontent and cynicism in regard to modern day politics. Not only did they blatantly lie to the general public in committing our forces into an unnecessary conflict but they turned their back on mainstream Labour principles introducing the need for students to pay for higher education, the use of PFI in core health care delivery and preparing to privatise the Royal Mail to name just a few. Real Labour supporters must be totally disenfranchised. Say what you like about Maggie but she was true to her convictions and political doctrine to the end, Cameron will prove to be same when this sick dog of a Government is finally put out of its misery in 2010/2011.
