Personally, dont know much about Daryl Goulding but I think Mathers is poop. Gleeson's been a chocolate teapot for us so far this season but I'd rather him not leave for Wigan.

i was informed about the wigan offer to us re gleeson involving a swap deal with the two players from wigan you mention saturday morning but was told not to post it. apparently wigan want the deal happen asap.

Sticking point though are mathers is injured for 6 weeksish (do we want another injury prone full back??) though have heard that smith quite fancies goulding.

My opinion on gleeson is he has never shown any real interest in playing for us and should go on that basis alone.

the worrying thing about this is that obviously smith is keen on mathers from his leeds days, he could be a work in progress to build his confidence back up but we've already got enough to be working at here already.

It's not an offer that excites, nor one that would improve warrington at all. Pity it's not like the NBA or other yank sports where you can trade ppl to create salary cap room and then waive peoples contracts.

If Reardon was released following his hearing, and Mathers signed on a pay as you play/structured deal as he was at Wigan, then I wouldn't mind it, as I couldn't see how we'd lose out. If Smith can get something out of him - great, if not he's jibbed at the end of the season anyhow.

I'd have an issue, if he was part of any 'packages' or swaps or whatever.

As a shot in the dark, why not.
