Did you watch Whitechapel? He was in that, and did a cracking job of making the transition into more dramatic acting. His influence on the writing was quite apparent, too.

I think one of the programmes that truly stands out for me was "This Life". I loved it. Was one of the greatest series ever made.

As for the TV discussion in general, I enjoy a very wide variety of television shows; possibly too much to name here, but I'll try and mention some of my all time favourites.

Comedy: Mock The Week, Red Dwarf, Game On, The Simpsons, Family Guy, Specific American chat shows, A Town Called Eureka

Drama: X-Files, The Shield, This Life, Heroes, Due South (comedy element), Sleeper Cell, Dexter.

Currently, and in recent times, FX have been churning out some absolutely cracking series; Burn Notice, Generation Kill, The Listener etc.
