Does show that all clubs have horrible off days. Saints first half were dreadful. Wigan & Wire have been the same.

To be fair Tony Smith also discussed the short turnaround and made the point that you can’t tell what sort of performance you are likely to get from your team in those circumstances. (Not having a dig btw).

It was a short turnaround for both sides, but we took a risk and rested Hoy, Sutcliffe and Swift, as well as losing Griffin and Taylor. 4 of those have been our top performers this year (although we did get Clifford back). Sometimes you have to freshen it up, and some squad players (Scott, Shaul, Brown) really stepped up last night

Hull have beaten both Wigan and St Helens far more comfortably than they beat us, but our fans on here are always rapid to say how perfect Wigan and Saints are- especially after a loss.
