Like some have said let Chambers and Marshall crack on with rest of his season and get the full time coach sorted before new preseason

I would be very impressed if they got Holbrook. Big name with loads of experience.

Yes, he was and it didn't work out for him, which is always a possibility (see Hodgson at Hull).

My nagging doubt is always that an experienced Aussie coach is merely going to be here for the cash, with little or no other incentive but that - Let's face it, Holbrook will have far more attractive offers than us (hate to say it, but Saints are in that category), so the only reason we will attract him ultimately will be the overinflated salary we will have to offer him to make him choose us over other clubs.

I think Holbrook for 2 years could have a positive outcome on what comes later - as he did at Saints and Maguire did at the pies.

So Holbrook for 2 years and then Briers takes over ?
