I don’t know why people rave about Bullock.

I’ve not seen him break the line once. Nor have I seen him do much effective offloading in the tackle. Nor have a seen him put any bone crunching tackles in.

He’s a pretty bang average prop who is doing pretty well to earn a living out of RL imo.

I’d quite happily swap him.

Nobody is raving about him, but before his thumb injury him and vaughan were our best props with Mikaele. Then his form dipped after he came back. We need props and he's a decent one with potential to be a really good prop for us.
And we're on about swapping a prop for a tough scrappy second rower when we don't need another one. Seems a daft unecessary swap just because Burgess is (apparently) a big fan of him.

Totally agree, we had 2 worhorse back rowers in Jason Clark and Jack Hughes and we were absolutely awful with both on the field at the same time. I like Crowther but would not like to see him and Partington in the same team. Partington seems a pointless signing to me.

There must be an issue with bullock though for him to be dropped for dudson this season, there was certainly no on field reason for such a move, its not like we had been missing the 20m that dudson offered! I think bullocm looks effective when he plays and has been our 2nd best prop so maybe our coaches don't know what they're looking at or bullock has some off field issues?

Crowther is an ok player, and happy with his contract.
But if he is our starting no 13 next season, we are too weak in light forward depth, and who am I to argue with Sam B on his pursuit of another.

I had assumed Nicholson would still start 13 in 2024, though that was the plan of Powell - Burgess may see things differently.

Crowther coming off the bench is ok I think. Partington and Crowther coming off the bench is too lightweight.

I reckon our coaches may know exactly what they are looking at. But it may not suit the "man in the street" view. Coaches watch one or two videos.
