I didn't even realise Makinson was playing today! We did so well keeping g0bsh!te Welsby quiet too. Just didn't give them a sniff. Did they even test our line in the second half?

As for wingers dessie is my all time favourite but Matty Ashton is certainly up there..top try in the corner

Did anybody see Makinson when Hurrell scored? Looks like someone had told him his dog died. Something not right there. Expect him to be playing somewhere else next year.

Well, we posed this tie as a true test of where we were, especially considering the injuries to our big forwards.

Presumably we now have the answer.

This isn't even a debate. Ashton is better than Hicks was

Ashton is a lot faster
Ashton makes more yards running it in.
Hicks was better in the air
Hicks was possibly marginally better in defence.
Ashton's finishing is better.

Overall, I can't see why people still go on about Hicks. How many would Hicks score over the last few years for us playing outside the centres that Ashton has had to. T King and Ratchford versus M King and Bridge. This isn't even taking into account how dominant our pack was while Hicks was here. So we we got downfield a lot easier and created more opportunities for our outside backs as a result.
