Couldn't agree more but the vast majority of people don't do research and lose that's why we get the quote's like "betting is a mugs game" and "There's only one winner".
I feel you need a little luck to win at Rugby League and Football betting because of the unpredictability of the sports, however you can have a well educated guess.
Horses on the other hand i feel is more about research, if you have 2-3 hours spare to do the research it will put you in good sted.
