To be fair, I think at the start of the year he was still seen as Powell's successor & understudy, rather our first choice hooker. So I can definitely see why you would think that he would've missed a few more.

Powell's injury came at a time where it was increasingly hard to justify O'Neill not being the main man, and since then he's not looked at all out of place playing big minutes in a key position. I wouldn't like to say what his 'ceiling' is, but to look as good as he has done at such a young age takes some doing.
