It's got to come down to money. How much of the cap do you spend on a player with such an injury record? Wingers can be match winners of course, but I'd back Powell to get a cheaper winger of lesser ability to play at a standard / scoring rate fairly close to Johnstone's.

Probably bulked out with trys against Salford Leigh etc, in big games against quality opposition my money would be on Johnstone makinson grace n the likes to score over the lesser players.

Powell will not be coming here to get average players over performing but to get quality players performing there's s huge difference imo.

As long as he isn't as crumbly as Gary Wheeler.

He's the best Winger in SL when fit. A try per game in a team that is not the best. More to the point at least 50 of those tries were spectacular individual efforts. I'd also state that IMO TJ has scored ten tries that no other SL winger could.

If he got fit and received the service a quality outfit like Warrington can offer he'd score 40 tries a season and win you at least two tight games.

If you signed him and he got to fit it would be the best money you'd spent in years, but if his physical condition doesn't improve Trinity will be the only winners.

Warrington already have a speed bump in charnley, why would they want another? That’s why he’s at Wakefield and has been for years

Would be another sensational signing. I'd imagine he'd be Wakefield's top earner with Fifita and one they'd want to keep so it's another huge salary to fit in. If you can get him for not much more than what Lineham is on and swap the two it's brilliant business.

Have you ever properly watched any player who doesn't wear a Saints shirt? Even for the blatant troll, you are this attempt to mark Johnstones defence as suspect is truly pathetic. First-hand accounts and general statistics prove you wrong.

Toms defensive game is above average, however, that's not what people are interested in, it's his attacking game. You'll work it out when you grow up.

With the amount of time he is spending on this site, he should be considering becoming a Wire.

I think we should commission him the world's first and only half saints and half wire kit. Full kit obviously, he's definitely one of those, if this comes off then Johnstone on the back. You can tell that his love of wire sits uneasily though by the barbed comments like the other day about the game cancellation. Shame that saints went and shot him in the foot by cancelling with covid too, just days after every player was available for the final!!

I'd rather leave him at Wakey to be honest.
