Their holding down at the play the ball was far better than ours and once we'd lost both half backs it was game over. It'll be interesting to see how the disciplinary deal with Lees.

As soon as our three props let Douglas score for that poor defensive try, I knew we would lose. There were cracks in our defensive line, especially in the second half where we were poor. A game to forget.

I'm not down about this result, as it didn't matter. Our season is not done, yet.
We need the level of performance that we had away at Saints. That game we should have won, so it's not mission impossible, more mission unlikely.
Today, we bombed some opportunities, Ratchford passing to Charnbley before committing the defender, Atkins not passing when he made a break and Charnley dropping the ball over the line to name three.
We were disrupted by losing Roberts and Brown in the first 40, causing us to be short on the rotation front for over 50 minutes and having three or so half back combinations.
One of those days where injuries went against us, but there will be a time when we take our opportunities. We have a side capable of beating Saints, we just haven't shown it yet and have one more crack at it when the season is on the line for both sides. The pressure is all on Saints as they're expected to win a week on Thursday.

Either way they created huge holes.

There's plenty to be read into this both had decent teams out today..cats that night had there 5th team out...more chance of me becoming tea total than a wire win at sts in 2 weeks..

Correct RD, something that needs sorting. Saints however, did this several times and made a successful tackle - we need to exploit this on Thursday week.
