Great. Looks like smith has will find his way to drop Patton then.

I expect Gids to move to 9, allowing brown and Patton to play in the halves, Brown will have a decent game and thus the week after when Clark returns Patton will find the door firmly shut, with Gids and brown lining up at 6 and 7.

Or, Gidley has a weeks rest as we do like to be reminded he was already getting on a bit back when The Beatles were "the new thing".

Clark was carrying an injury from last week and picked up another vs Hudds. I'm fairly confident he wouldn't have played this week anyhow. So a one match ban is a none loss at all really.
