But obviously TS thought the guys we're up to it.

Was it a poor call by him?

Or was it that there was an 'expectation' of a win without the hard work. Maybe attitude was not right.

if he did get it wrong its only a few things hes got wrong since hes been here,i think its credit to salford,,you cant win every game..look at hudds look at wigan..next weeks a different game tho it wont be easy..

Get real... Warrington have trained together for 16 weeks prior to this one... plus the whole pre-season. If they are as good as you think they are then they will be professional enough to cope with being away for a few days. Tony Smith will have watched enough videos of Salford and worked on tactics all week to have been able to word up the team on how to approach this game. The players that played today will know Salford's game enough too.

Fact is... You lost... Simple and no excuses.

Give over. Are you seriosuly saying that the Origin International had no affect on the game today? Deary me. I'm no SL coach but even a blind man could tell our players were knackered and lacked urgency, they've not trained together all week. You deserved the win but to suggest that the game didn't have an affect is absolutley garbage.

Mate if you don't think they change their game plan week on week depending on the opposition then you're deluding yourself, players are giving a role each week, they are told who to target and how to exploit people, we have had 1 day to do that. No wait you're right Salford are just amazing and it was nothing to do with Exiles game, thats why the 3 clubs with the most reps stunk today, just pure coincidence.

Well done and that but don't kid yourself that you won purely on 'skill' alone.

Well Done to Salford..you deserved the win.

Next season any Exiles V England game MUST be played on a week with no RL in it.
Or how about playing on the Friday night of the CC final with only the two CC Final teams excluded.

Briers and Monaghan didn't play in the Exiles and those 2 stank today. Carvell did play and was our best player by a mile.

Best team won, which was Salford. No excuses, the team we had out today, should have won that game, but they didn't because Salford applied themselves better, got 3 men into every tackle and held onto the ball better than Wire.

But, from a Wire perspective, just as I didn't get carried away after some of the games we've won this seaon, I aint gonna kneejerk now. We're still in a healthy position and that's all that matters.

Sums today up perfectly. Fortunately other results have helped us.

People used to say about Wigan and Saints that you never want to play them the week after they have been beaten.... Let's see if this result can be used as motivation for the rest of the season.

yes but at least 8 players have not had game plan training for this game , as each game poses a different threat different tactics are required , remember the last time we played your lot with a full weeks training together it got a bit embarassing for you , not using this as an excuse its more of a fact , anyway great win for salford best team won all be it with a fully fresh and game planned team

Didn't hear all of the interview on Radio Manchester but TS has allegedly said you can't expect players to back up 43 hours after one match with another.

Not having a go, but a bit perplexed by that because it's not like we haven't got strength in depth. I would have expected a few more of the fringe players to have played if he was seriously concerned about the back to back issue.

Tony should have re arranged the game as was offered by the RFL.

Bad call by Smith IMO.

Hull won by plenty today and they had plenty of important players in the Exiles game as well.
