It was the way we were playing more than anything. We came out and scored a great time. Then we gave away penalty penalty try combos away. Last year i think we would have got stuck in that rut

They key moment was a poor decision by Fitzhenry on 65mins.
He half scooted from Dummy Half on the last, realised it was a mistake.
Put in an awful kick that gave you the ball 35 metres out.
Briers kick put King in.
Game Turning.

How arrogant is Morgan? interview during the game.....fantastic coach but just don't like the guy, no class at all.

I think the difference in the golden point thing was that Tony Smith was actually on the sidelines, Justin was sat in his box. Would give the players a hell of a lot of confidence to hear a few words from your coach in a situation like that.

Your comeback was purely down to your team wanting it more, and the constant attack in the first half had tired our players out. Kudos to Wire, your tails were up more than ours, and the best team won. As I've said in some other threads - you best go on to win it now!! :D

I agree. I can imagine that TS would have calmed some of the players down a touch, especially those that were upset at the last decision, and would have given some direction for what was coming. 1st class coaching. As professional as players are, they are human....

Obviously a big believer in his job being done through the week and the players are there to do it on game day. If you watch before the game it shows how much he does in the box but dont discount the work Drew Webster does and people like Mick Vella when not playing does a lot of the work.

If we were to lose Morgan my choice of coach would be Tony Smith he's a fantastic coach and one that does great at club level you are lucky to have him as we are Justin.

Yep I agree.

I can understand where Sally is coming from, but when you looked at the two teams just before the Golden Point period, we looked focused and up for it, and HKR looked a bit of a rabble with only a few players listening to the bloke with the Head Trainer t-shirt on. I think Smith may have had a calming effect on the players and got them focused.

Saying that, the two camera shots I am comparing may have just been at different stages of their preparation for Extra Time.

TBH, personally think there was only one winner in overtime. Sad to admit this but Briers is the drop goal king of Super League, simple as that.

Never doubted we would come back and that's the truth.

When KR went 10 points ahead with the kick to come, i turned around and said if he doesn't kick this were still in the game but we need to score next.

The rest is history :D :D :D :D :D :D
