Whilst the video ref is an important part of the game, I sometimes feel that on a few occasions a bit of honesty from the players could avoid unneeded delays to the game.

I'm not suggesting cheating... ....but if that decision had gone Wigan's way, then Wire could easily have ended up losing a match through poor sportsmanship.

why would he own up?? when there could be chance the try was given and earned themselfs points. plus the ref went to the screen so you think if richards went to the ref and said i touched it sir then he would of just wiped it out? i dont think so.

I would always applaud a player for telling the truth no matter which team he is on. But we see it time and again that the video ref for some reason doesn't always make the right decision

Look at Maradona, footballing legend, yet forever tainted with the stigma of being a cheat....OK, Richards would be on a much smaller scale, but considering it was obvious to everybody who saw the replay, you can't help but feel that there will have been a slight tinge of guilt in his head as the video ref deliberated his decision.

he is only a cheat in England, apparently Diego is a national god in Scotland

......Because the Scots have a huge chip on their shoulders and also because they have acheived balls-all on the worldwide sporting stage, they find themselves gaining comfort from anybody who has inflicted damage on the English.
