To be fair, before Smith came in, we would have sacked 75% of the squad. They should surely be judged by how they are doing under Smith, as he is our manager for the next couple of years.

Briers is doing well. I can understand your concern, as he hasn;t always been this consistent, but it was the dismissive manner of your comments which I didn;t take to.

Perhaps he finally has the the coach who can get
the best out of him consistently, still gives us the
best options when he plays, and against Hkr next
week may be the difference that we missed in the
magic weekend game.

Think if a player has served 10yrs at a club a
percentage of the wage doesnt count on the
salary cap, which could make a differerence to
the squad thinking for next year,but i think what
ever happens people will go with Tony Smiths ideas
just hope it works out best for all concerned.

Would give him another years contract without any problem. He has helped turn the side under Tony Smith. Briers is now aware it's play well or your out time and he is responding to this. Well
