That was the quarter finals. My lot (St Philips) beat Dallam Primary. Not sure who else went through.
St Oswalds, St Benedicts and Beamont went through as well as us.
St Philip's 10 years ago didn't do any proper sporty stuff. Now we take part in the schools rugby comp and they are through to the north west finals in tag rugby too. Well done kids!
it's impossible to make a point without making an enemy. Footballers spend 90 minutes pretending they are injured, Rugby League players spend 80 minutes pretending they're not!! before you call a players mistake try and play the game yourself !!!!
i have a year 5 & 6 team at St Vincents too and looking for games ??.
We wrote to the Latchford area schools offering coaching but we got no reply that was around 3 months ago

Well it normally takes a local club coach or parent to get involved to get it all going! Unfortunately that tag final is at the same time as the Y6 trip out to Menai so most of the team (including our George) is away. Bad timing or what.

Newchurch played Culcheth today. Great to see year 3/4 children playing full contact game. Culcheth have a teacher who used to play rugby - don't know his name, but he reffed the game and kept stopping it to explain things. Was done very well.
