What about the two occassions whereby catalans were first to a loose ball and then saints attempted to steal the ball only for catalans to be penalised

Both of those very poor decisions and came at critical times when catalans were well and truly in the game.

What about the perfectly good catalans try which was disallowed for a non existent forward pass

IMO Catalans heart was broken by a very poor and seriously biased refereeing performance (or non performance) by Thaler. Not saying he is a saints fan, more of a homer.

its all the ref, nothing to do with them being rubbish - I love it!!

Nobody is saying he had a good game but no way did he influence the final outcome of the game!

Sorry it was never destined to be a "very close game". I can't believe anyone is seriously suggesting that a 34 point difference is down to ref bias

its a giggle isnt it. You could understand it if there were a few points in it and a couple of key decisions went against you but when you get knobbed and blame the ref it really is a poor show.

It was never afforded the opportunity to be a contest. That decision from the kick-off was one of the worst I have ever witnessed, compounded by the fact he conferred with his touch judge!
