I honestly dont think the drums have any negetive effect on the atmosphere.
Tried to sing a number of songs today without drums, the problem is that no bugger joins in.
Huddersfield games have always been like that though, we only ever have a decent atmosphere when the away crowd is pretty large or it is one of the more well known / respected teams in town.
At the moment it is very difficult to get anything going with or without any drums.

I think the atmosphere has been draining out of the stadium for a number of years since we left Wilderspool. Results are partly to blame but the fact is that our stadium layout does not help matters. The atmosphere at the moment is away from life.

The stadium layout is the problem, surely some more thought should have gone into the planning.
