| From an outsider looking in, you guys look really impressive and well coached.
I actually think Powell is going to weaken your chances next year, and if you going to win stuff it will be with Price. Can we have Price for next year? Pretty please...!

| Price has had the team looking unbeatable at times and they have gone on long winning runs, unfortunately that has never been consistent enough and teams always seem to be able to find him out. Slow down our ruck and we look very ordinary, our attacking shape looks too flat and there aren't enough options when the ball is being shifted wide.
I actually think Price will go back to Aus and go back to being a very good assistant coach - he needs someone above him dictating tactics and attacking structure, but he has built a lot of resilience in to our defence and seems very well liked around the club (and community).
Not sure who you support, but if he was to stay in the UK (which he obviously isn't) then he could do a decent job at a lower mid table club who's main focus is survival rather than success, he'd instill a good team spirit and ethos.

To be fair, coaching a side to beat a team who can't defend is pretty easy & most coaches could do it. Price's problems start when an opposition defence doesn't implode with the ease Salford's did.

| I listened to the Salford v Wigan game and it's difficult to work out ... why didn't Wigan tear them apart?

| I think maybe he's improving as a coach, he's an honest bloke and I do belive he absolutely gives the job his best. Unfortunately as good as we are at the minute we have largely underachieved under his tenure. I was made up with him first season, as we really improved on the previous season and made both finals but we have been pretty awful since then an soften for long spells.
Maybe he's throwing caution to the wind this season as its a free shot for him and the team? Who knows but so long as we perform to our capabilities more often than not then I'll enjoy this season.
Powell will nt be a downgrade though, he's an excellent coach, looking forward to seeing what he does with the squad we have.

As we ourselves can confirm, teams don't tend to perform identically from week to week.
Only someone with no working sight would try to say Salford were anything but awful last night.

Exactly, it isn't a squash ladder. Beat 1st place, take 1st place.

Warrington played really well, but I think that result is just the outcome of the run Salford have had. They've had Catalans away, Castleford twice, Wigan, Saints and then you. And they don't have any depth outside their starting 17. Watson got out at the right time.
It's looking good for Warrington though. The shaky start you had, the injury to Inglis and it being Price's final year has released a lot of the pressure, this season is a bit of a free hit now. Hull are quality but inconsistent, Wigan are terrible and Saints are looking very stale and have half the team plus the coach unsure what they're doing next season.

| Speaking of price did anyone see the coaching manual with him?
First one I had seen, but carney was doing his best to ask him if he was under pressure to play attractive attacking rugby.
I don't know if that's a regular question

Yes ... they were poor. We didn't even need our wingers and just went through them.
Players in the bin and one or two limping didn't help them.

Maybe we're like the new West Ham/Newcastle.
We need a coach who understands "The Warrington Way". Not someone who is going to park the bus and hoof it to the big fella.
