First place in our own hands? : Sun Jun 20, 2010 8:35 pm
Now I'm not suggesting that this will happen, but if we win the last nine matches of season, we'll be at least equal on points with Wigan and at least joint top. So, there you go lads, your task is a simple one, starting next Sunday.

You're completely right.

Tough trips against Wigan away, Saints & Hull at home, Leeds on sunday etc.

BELIEVE.

Nine tough games but a win against Leeds would be a great start.

Be very very tough to do that with us playing the semi and hopefully a final if we can win that, it would take a massive effort I would rather lose a few and finish 2nd and go into the playoffs with plenty in the tank.

Amazing situation to be in though. Two-thirds of the season gone and finishing top is in our hands! I think the predictions at the start of the season averaged out at about 4th. If we finished 4th now, we'd be very disappointed, even 3rd would be a bit of a blow!

Home Games highlighted.

Leeds Rhinos Home
Crusaders RL Racecourse Ground
Castleford Tigers Home
Wigan Warriors DW Stadium
Catalans Dragons Stade Gilbert Brutus
St Helens Home
Wakefield Trinity Wildcats Belle Vue
Hull FC Home
Harlequins RL The Stoop

I fancy us to win all our remaining away games. Thoughts?

Says alot that we are talking about finishing top with 9 rounds left from other seasons.

I went for 5th at the start of the season but now got to get a top 4 place with the position we are in now, I wouldn't be that bothered by 3rd or 4th as you still get that second chance.

Thats why am more happy with Hull FCs and Leeds results today then Wigans as we have abit of space behind us.

Theres no way we're finishing fourth, can you really see us losing three games more than Hull fc do with only nine games left? In fact i can't at this moment see us losing three games at all.

We'll probably lose one we won't be expecting to. We might even win at Wakefield this year!

I still think we can lose every week.

Years of doom and gloom has made me this way.

I still can't believe just how well things have gone this season.
