i know it says left centre in the article but i can only recall seeing him play on the right for the roosters.

Yeah and he's definately capable of playing both positions due to his size.

IMO he's not the most skilful of players, so his fearsome defence and strong running make him better suited to the second row.

Verdict: a decent signing, but not world class.

in a way, it's bradford esque, think about him lining up next to meli with puletua inside them.

That is a scary propostion.

To be honest I think its a good signing, and wouldn't have minded us getting him. Just waiting for the first Saints fan to come on here and compare him to Mal Meninga.

This is the first Mick Potter signing and it seems he is going for a Bradford Power style of play. This guys a big unit with pace. Not sure where this leaves Saints kids?

Brian certainly likes the big powerful types, look at his catalans team they weren't exactly shrinking violets
