Politicians spend years throwing promises of what they will do if you vote for them, at you and when they are finally voted in, they spend the next Four years or so, coming up with excuses as to why they cannot carry out the promisses that they threw at you in the first place. In my opinion, politicians are amongst the most devious and dishonest form of the human race and only take up their position as MP`s for their own personal gratification, to see how far down they can get their greedy little snouts in to the seemingly never ending trough of money that is "freely" open to them.
Unfortunately, the British public is "forced" to register to vote, but on the flip side, doesnt have to actually put his/her "X" on the ballot paper. I register to vote, but dont actually vote, as at this moment in time, i dont actually trust any political party to carry out their promised duties, or to actually benefit the likes of myself and millions of others, as a british working class person/familys.(Basically, it matters not one bit which party is voted in, through their own greed, arogance, inept handling of political promises/situations and down-right deviousness, they will, undoubtedly, at some point, make a monumental mess of the situation and country as a whole, then get voted out. The cycle begins once again, with yet another party and so on).
If a party ever comes along and actually gains my trust, i will vote for them, "but i wont be holding my breath, thats for sure"!!!
