However they do in the playoffs, I have to say they would be my pick for team of the year. Where they have come from in a season, the signings they have made and the style of play, I can only look on in wonder.
Obviously I will still be tipping us to win in the prediction league…my heart always rules my head where we are concerned! (Probably why I don’t bet!).

I remember looking at the fixture list last January and targeting this fixture for an away trip. Thought I would drop my missus off at the Traff and walk to the game, we would probably be jostling for 2nd or 3rd spot. How wrong was I?
Salford have had a magnificent season.

Three of our former Youth players in Williams, Livett and Ackers.

With the much criticised(While he was here) Akauola.

Rowley is definitely getting the best out of them.

Salford have been superb and an absolute joy to watch, and I would love them to win the competition. They are certainly playing well enough to do so, but the reality is, it will be Wigan or Saints. Again. That's just how Super League works.

Rowley should walk coach of the year and brodie Croft is my pick for man of Steel. Unfortunately Wigan will no doubt win the GF.

Salford would be really tricky to come up against in a knock out game. The way they play is really exciting, great to watch.

I also think Leeds could do some damage if they get in and can get some players back. Can’t think how many times they have had Myler, Austin, Sezer and Leeming all on the field at once, add in Hardaker, Newman, Fasitua, Martin and they have a lot of creativity.

Try to get a bet on the Wire. Wire now giving up 2 points to Salford at the bookies, after receiving 10 points yesterday. Salford testing the entire back line plus if they win would have to go all the way to Perpignan rather than Huddersfield!!

Salford will try their best to lose this game and we’ll probably still get beat. Hope the youngsters do well and thank god this season is nearly over.
