I wanted Amor as backup before he signed on for an extra year at Saints. I thought he was the ideal experienced prop to replace Hill. Nothing spectacular, but a bit of weight and a steady head with a winning mentality.

Would be quite happy to snap him up for the rest of the season.

meh, he's barely played the last few years for saints, saints fans have been vocal about letting him go, if he'd signed under price he'd be another grinder prop, that we dont need.

Not played much this year but "last few years" is way off.

20 appearances in 2021, 16 in 2020 (covid year), 30 in 2019!

Not really, just saying Wests are probably contributing. You wouldn't get someone travelling across the pond for the combined salaries of those minimum wage players.

That implies we were at the absolute limit of the cap already. Perhaps we weren't and just needed a little extra wiggle room?

But you didn’t mention Wests. You were just happy to go along with cheating thread that so often appears on Redvee. He is just 24 so unlikely to be on top money and, as it is a two and half year contract, the first year could be lower to fit the cap.
Why not just retract ?
