Depends what you mean by failure? What are our ambitions under Tony Smith?
He can't turn a team of underachieving, spineless players into world beaters over night. He needs to lay his foundations, get rid of the dross and the players who don't want to be here, and freshen things up both in terms of ability and attitude. If he only stays here for 2 or 3 years, I won't be expecting silverware, but I think he'll leave the club in a fantastic position for whoever comes in after him.
