Offer is limited in the South Stand too it seems.

Just been to the shop only to be told that the £5 tickets for the south stand are sold out, but I could buy a full price one if I wanted!

Hope the South Stand is full tomorrow otherwise they've just allowed another fiver and potentially future season ticket holder walk out the door.

Typical Wire!!

What could have been fantastic PR for the club and a chance to entice new fans as well as reinstating some faith from previous season ticket holders has turned into a complete and utter farce!

I don't know how many season ticket holders we have on the books for this season so can only base my assumptions on estimated figures. So for example...

If it's true, as has been reported in previous posts, that Celtic are only bringing 30-50 fans and we have 5,000 season ticket holders there can only be a maximum of 5,000 season ticket holders and 5,000 of their friends on the basis that everybody brings a friend.

Take into consideration that maybe 60% of season ticket holders will take up the offer to bring a friend, 3,000 people, then there is still going to be a remainder of 5,000 tickets available for general sale.

There is clearly demand for tickets for the south stand but people aren't willing to pay the £17 to go. It will be a travesty tomorrow if the South Stand isn't full but nobody had the sense to keep the promotional tickets on sale!

If it's a health and safety issue... lets get the west stand open and maximise this fantastic opportunity to attract new fans and start increasing our attendances at home games.

Sorry for the rant but our club drives me up the wall on and off the pitch!!

Looks like I went in at the right time to pick 2 up for 2 warrington friends of mine then - they still had them at 1.30!

The shop was very busy when I went at about 12.30. There was maybe 10-12 people in front of me in the queue. Good sign really.

Some good points there mate,I can see the club doing something for the visit of york next week.
cant see york bringing many fans at all, plus i dont know if its just me but has the challenge cup lost some of its glam over the past couple of seasons?? so we need to be doing something to get back on track if you like,i think the club have also lost bout 1,500 season ticket holders from last season, through either work commitments credit crunch or people just picking there games e.t.c.
so next week we need another deal,or offer quid a kid or £10 lad and dad something to entice people back to the game......

Cheers Ditch!

It just frustrates me that the club are being so short sighted in closing the west stand. We could sell out the ground tomorrow with £5 tickets. I know what I'd prefer if I was the money 2,000 tickets at £5 or naff all because the west stand is closed.

My heart goes out to all the West Stand season ticket holders!

I'm a bit split on this one. The problem with having this offer unlimited, is that there are possibly very few people paying full price for tomorrow, as people are making the most of this offer, so they must have had to draw the line somewhere.

That said, the Celtic game is probably the one game where you should not put limits on this, especially based on the lower crowds so far this year.

It would have been nice had they stressed the fact that this would be for the first 1000 customers or something though.

So let's get this right, I give you my voucher for nothing, your mates son gets in for a fiver and I get to buy a painting from you with a bit of discount? For a moment there, I thought it was almost all about you and not the fact that I bought a season ticket the day they came out!!!!!!

What the hell else are you gong to do with the voucher?

If the West stand is closed and/or crowds are effected by people not being able to buy a £5 ticket it will be a shame. However i doubt the offer would have made too much a difference so to those who look to undermine the club it's a win win for them.

I was hoping somebody would have got me a ticket for a fiver just because they could. I've responded to and supplied a few posters on this site that wanted dvds of warrington games and on one occasion a wigan game for a pie eater just because it helped those posters out. Don't think i'll bother anymore nobody else seems to want to help anybody else out.

I know what you mean I have done numerous favours for people off here and off some United sites I go on. I even wrote a software application for someone once and all for the reason that they support the same football or rugby team as me.

In turn many people have gone out of their way to do favours for me for the same reasons. Don't let some selfish miserable @rse put you off doing something good for a fellow wire in the future and you'll get your place in heaven
