Typical Wire!!
What could have been fantastic PR for the club and a chance to entice new fans as well as reinstating some faith from previous season ticket holders has turned into a complete and utter farce!
I don't know how many season ticket holders we have on the books for this season so can only base my assumptions on estimated figures. So for example...
If it's true, as has been reported in previous posts, that Celtic are only bringing 30-50 fans and we have 5,000 season ticket holders there can only be a maximum of 5,000 season ticket holders and 5,000 of their friends on the basis that everybody brings a friend.
Take into consideration that maybe 60% of season ticket holders will take up the offer to bring a friend, 3,000 people, then there is still going to be a remainder of 5,000 tickets available for general sale.
There is clearly demand for tickets for the south stand but people aren't willing to pay the £17 to go. It will be a travesty tomorrow if the South Stand isn't full but nobody had the sense to keep the promotional tickets on sale!
If it's a health and safety issue... lets get the west stand open and maximise this fantastic opportunity to attract new fans and start increasing our attendances at home games.
Sorry for the rant but our club drives me up the wall on and off the pitch!!
