However, I'm fed up with people trying to make out Riley is something wonderful, whil in reality he is (at best) a 4th ot 5th choice winger in any SL team.

I wasnt paying Riley a compliment. its clear he is not a full back...but then I believe Reardon would also have let that ball bounce (he did it when he used to play for us)and thats just poor coaching of the basics....

At least Riley looks like he gives a poop. He may not be Kris Radlinski but damn i'd prefer to watch a player try but fail occasionally, than watch Matt King not try and fail permanently.

As a Wakey fan and looking into your club my observations so far are this

1. Overpaid players who are quality when they have the grafters around them, you have a lack of grafters.
2. pride in the shirt, little evidence of that.
3. A team of 'stars' is not the answer they never get dropped.
4. Example of above Penny who is still learning the game (and too arrogant for my liking) was the scape goat the other week and was banished to room 101
5. After last night I fear the same for Riley, these young lads need to play, your sold called 'stars' should take responsibility or hang their heads in shame.
6. I failed to spot any cohesion in your team, we had no half backs for 60 minutes down to our last 18 players but 2 more were injured and quite frankly we stuffed you last night. I was proud of our young lads led by some experience.
7. Money is not the answer heart and pride goes some way and you have lost it,, you looked like an arrogant team of thugs in all honesty at times and you paid the price

For me Riley could be a good full back but think he isn't experienced or good enough yet. I liked him on the wing last year and move Hicks to full back.

Hicks doesn't get enough of the ball at the moment IMO
