There I said it.

What? Police are just as bad as gun-toting drug-peddling gangsters? All of them?

There may be SOME bad police officers, but ALL of the gangsters are scum.

Gareth Hock can't pass
Gareth Hock can't run
Gareth Hock can't fight

I'm assured he can snort a line of coke the size of a Mecca dauber though.

This is a fundamental issue of political leanings. there are many right wing views on here that, although not wrong, leave a sour taste in my mouth.

All I can say is thank love no one has been advocating death penalties for criminals.

It is an ugly issue and I ageree with a lot firewire has said

Who do you think will cop for the bill? Thats right, the working man, and not those scum that will carry on sponging off the state, selling drugs and carrying firearms.

Most of the buildings had flats above them in which, guess what, your heroic working man lived.

Its the attitudes of people like Firewire which is making this country go to the dogs.
This country needs to be reclaimed from the thugs, drug dealers, criminals that are currently running the show.

Have you ever been the victim of any serious crime Firewire, from your comments I think probably not.

Ha ha yeah it's because of people like me that this country has 'gone to the dogs'.

Fortunately I haven't been the victim of a serious crime, but what has that got to do with anything? All I said was that I disagree with people saying that all police should carry guns, and that all criminals should be shot.

As for criminals running the country, have you already forgotten about the role that the Metropolitan Police played in the phone hacking scandal? Not all criminals are hoodies roaming the streets of blighted urban areas, some of the more powerful ones wear smart suits and roam the corridors of power.

Current thoughts - Mago out or get running up them plantations, get fit or get rid.
Maybe a back up halfback, someone with a bit of experience on a short term deal.
Big tall strong running second rower, like a McMeekin or Sironen type back rower.

London, full of scrotes who think they are 50 cent dealing drugs, carrying guns and knives.

Sick of hearing about gangs stabbing each other in London.

Re: ot/ Tottenham Riots : Sun Aug 07, 2011 1:51 pm
The army kills more innocent people than the police, and generally they get supported by the public.

People take the police for granted, there is no 'help for heroes' campaign for the police, everyone wants to look for reasons to attack them, yes I'm sure there is some corruption within the police, it doesn't detract from the fact that the British police are admired across the world as an example of an efficient and generally fair police force. Whenever I've had dealings with them they've always been polite and professional but lots of people just see the police as a nuisance when they are doing their job and want to make them out to be the enemy. I saw a few occasions when I was a student when there would be open law breaking and anti social behaviour going on with people having all night drug fuelled street parties keeping the neighbourhood up, and when the police came to try to get things under control some smartbooty would start provoking the police, jumping on the bonnet of their car or throwing things at police officers, and when the police then moved in with dogs to take charge of the situation, you got no end of complaints about "police brutality", all these petitions going round the university for complaints to the Home Secretary about the behaviour of the police.

So I have got a very suspicious view of when people want to start slagging off the police and 'demanding answers', the people who should be giving the answers are criminals. Remember last year how Gazza's mate Raul Moat was seen in some quarters as some hero of the people for blinding a policeman and killing someone else then going into a public stand off against the police till he was killed.

In this situation it looks like a guy has fired a weapon at the police and been shot dead and now the community are 'demanding answers', although the way they are doing this is through widespread burglary and looting. Thats a funny form of civil rights movement.

I don't think all police should carry guns, I think the balance is just right now where they have a special armed unit. But if you are being confronted by armed police then you can't shoot a policeman and expect them not to deal with you quickly.

I think it's due to the fact that most of the people posting on this thread have rarely ventured outside Warrington.
