Sorry couldn't think of a decent topic title for this. Last night watching St's v Catalans I got to thinking about how many ex-reds are still playing in the professional and semi-pro leagues 22 in Super League. Having a quick peruse I spotted over 60! Some first teamers some who only appeared at academy level and a few tenuous links loans etc. So what did it achieve? Well nothing if the truth be told but anyway I've put together what team we could put together.

1. Ratchford
2. Broughton
3. Moon
4. Turner
5. Manfredi hhmmm OK 1/2 only a game so (Jones-Bishop)
6. Myler (or Chase)
7. Smith
8. Taylor
9. Fages
10. Tasi
11. Hansen
12. Hock
13. Paterson
14. Sneyd/Hood/Howarth
15. Pale'asina/Sidlow
16. Jewitt/Griffin
17. Ashurst/Dixon

To be fair that backline looks pretty decent.

I wonder how many of those 60 have come and gone in the last three seasons!

I was thinking similar the other day whilst I was reading the Leeds site with someone mocking them about their half backs and the fact Ryan Mcgoldrick was available on ebay.

I was thinking about our supply of halfbacks to the super league,
Ratchford-Warrington
Sneyd-Hull
Myler-Catalan
Smith-Wigan
Robinson-Huddersfield (ret)
Fages-St.Helens

I realise not all of them came through our system but those that didn't were either rescued or given their chance with us and I won't even mention Chase as he's not super league.

14 - Godwin
15 - Morley
16 - D.Griffin
17 - Walton

A few loan players in there and a couple of retired players, but it goes to show how different last years squad is to this years.
