Tomkins gets through an enormous amount of work tackle wise . Yesterday he made several good scoots from dummy half, plus there seems to be a developing element to his game ; he is starting to make it difficult for the opposition to see which way he is going from the ruck. I enjoyed his performance yesterday and in the absence of Tommy Lee , quite happy for him to be putting a lengthy stint in against Wakey.
Quite happy to have Josh Wood pairing Dobbo in the halfs during Lui's absence. He seems a little off super league pace, but I think with more game time that will hopefully sharpen up. And the next couple of games v Wakey and Hunslet should be ideal for him. I'll forgive his Knock on half way through the second half- good to see the other lads rally round him when that happened.
Not sue on the injury front who will be missing next week , but it might be Niall on the wing with Jonesey in the centre !!!!
Just really please with he attitude of this squad.
The three back to back sets that we defended mid way through the first half without conceding and the the way we won the game when down 24-18 with 15 odd mins to go exemplify this spirit.
Hopeful for next week v Wakey who seem to be getting some results now.
west yorkshire away a happy hunting ground so far this season.
