Salford Head Coach Shaun McRae said that the supporters were entitled to an apology after an abject first half performance against Harlequins tonight.. “Perhaps the win over Celtic Crusaders was a false dawn,” said McRae. “The supporters are entitled to be upset and angry, I am. Perhaps we do owe them an apology.

We have had more False dawns here than a Dawn French Impressionist convention

Although you came back into the second half, that was due to Quins being over confident. 20 odd points up scoring at will at half time. In the second half we began by throwing the ball about like a training session and then couldn't defend when you got hold of it as we weren't "tuned" into the opposition coming at us.

I hope he isn't kidding himself otherwise you will have a long season ahead.
