Same thing if they are putting their money where their mouths are and bank rolling the club for a couple of a hundred million. I'd agree they are not the most profitable but they could potentially out spend any club.

You can always take there ageing players as well.!!!

Sorry don't buy the consistancy issue criticsm-how many games has Steff played in a row in his preferred position-too a certain extent your halfbacks are as good as your pack.Salford are somewhat inconsistant.Holdsworth has been inconsistant.Steff is an on the shoulder and creative type player ,sometimes of the cuff.I find Matty Smith a little sterile and not particularly creative-I know which type I'd rather have.Neither Holdsworth or Smith challenge the line enough for me-this is what Ratch brings to the party.I was only aware of negotiations/offers this season as soon as McCrea seemed destined to go-Steff being messed around last season is a big factor in his departure in my opinion.

i'd compare a centre to Jordan but i'd have to compare half the squad who have took turns there this year haha

I suspect Myler has played alot less games than Holdsworth, meaning he probably averages more combined than Holdsworth. Also, the way we use Hodgson as a third pivot means alot of the time he's making the final pass.

It's always a shame to see an academy product go (especially to Wire), but that's life. No doubt we will miss Ratchford, but if he wants to leave, then best of luck for the future (just not when he lines up against Salford). On the positive side, his leaving does create an opportunity for someone else to step up. IMHO we needed another centre regardless. Sneyd has been impressive this year, could Ratch leaving could be his chance at halfback?

Still shame it's Wire and not Wigan.

I wish him well, has been a great player not the finished article but in the Warrington team I predict good things. I am vexed off, Jordan Turner, Ritchie Myler & now Stefan Ratchford!
We are only ever going to survive by bring young good players through & selling on to survive, unless we start to attract a new fan base, lets hope the new stadium kicks us on so we don't face this disappointment at the end of every season.

Good luck Ratch & I for one wish you well in a short career.

Good luck at wire Ratchford.

If you had to pick the Salford team for the rest of the season, would you still put him in the squad or try new combinations?

Something serious wrong deep down at our great club,ffs how many more good young players are we gonna loose??? even when we offer em decent money contracts they choose to leg it!!!
