That's not my point. Sport in general, with vastly increased TV and news coverage is much higher profile that at any time in the past, and as a result of unprecedented local success I'm suggesting that we have a generation of sports fans locally to whom winning is all that matters - people who would much rather see us beat Swinton by 70 points than lose to Saints by 2. We also have a local "armchair" culture that we have to overcome, as people have become increasingly used to "supporting" their team without going to games to the extent that watching sport in the flesh doesn't really cross their minds.
