The main difference between us and the other clubs is self belief, we usually make all the right noises and when it comes down to it fail to deliver.
To stop this cycle of hope to failure id hope the players look at themselves in that 1st team meeting and say
"well there are around 420 people all doin the same as me, training the same time as me,eatin the same stuff as me, sleepin the same time as me everyone is doing great and giving 100@%, but if everyone is doing great it is int great it becomes the average, average performances wont win you anything
What do i need to do that 90% wont do? To give me that edge Might mean extra trainin on a wednesday running up and down the northstand steps or kicking or passing a rugby ball into a wheelie bin or take up yoga so im a bit more flexable in the tackle so i can offload or somthin silly like no beer or chocolate durin the season"
Its upto the individual what he wants to do to help himself become a better player, we cant tell him, mcrae cant tell him,if he succeeds and wins the battle in his head and becomes a better player he'll get more success and job satisfaction and achieve more than a player who gives 100% like the 419 doing the same job.
Its all about hunger for me, havin a youthful side is helpful because with youth you have no fear of failure, and with no fear of failure you can just go out and play and when everyone around is beginin to choke under the pressure because its not goin right they will come out fighting and not take a backward step.
The season starts 1st day back in training not february, so lets all get behind them
