Also, according to League Express, Veivers has to wait until new investment is secured before he can recruit for next season. He believes movement on this is imminent, however.

You'd hope that was to see if they have a bigger than expected budget. Christ with Patten, Houldsworth and Feka gone there can only be Moon left on a high wage. With the wise promotion of the youngsters an addition of a class Centre all I'd want to see is a couple of big unit forwards.
Which presumably means that if Cronulla want him they now have to pay a transfer fee?
Terrific player to watch, when he plays!, but that doesn't seem too often on this season's evidence - have we just got another injury prone Aussie or has he genuinely had a run of bad luck?

That may be the case and hopefully it is. Yet the wording of the article insinuates that without new investment, there's no budget.

I don't know. I would expect it means he can't wriggle out of his contract with Salford, who will keep his registration. So perhaps the situation is similar to James Jiminez's in 2008, in that if he wants to go home, he can't play for anyone during the remainder of his contract.
I see the only problem being we don't have a leader on the park besides Alker, with Paul gone and now that time is taking it's toll on Mal we face the prospect of having periods of the game when we have no leader on the park, for me we need a old head second row in the Cartwright/Panapa mold to come on, steady the ship and use nowse as much as brute force.

still Plying his trade in the Illawarra League's for Steelharbour Workers RLFC 1st grade .. where he feels at home Notice He was playing against a team with a half-back pairing of Nathan & Blake Dureau , who play for Wests Illawarra nicknamed the Red Devils ... presumably related to Catalans' Scott. Dureau brothers' final farewell
