I'd be very happy to sign Brierley as always thought he looked like a good quality half and can cover a couple of other positions which is always a bonus. You'd also think we'd not have to break the bank to get him either.
MEN reporting Salford interest in Blythe. Wouldn't mind this signing to be honest to replace Gleeson or maybe rotate him in the back row. MEN also reports he's from Irlam, another shot in the arm for our local recruiting system then.

Born in Irlam.Unless you want the club to risk signing youngsters while they are still in nappies I don't think it feasible to develop players from a school system some miles away May be a tad speculative.
I don't think the cup winners played too many from their local recruiting system on Saturday - even with the best investor/best chairman/best planned stadium switch/best memorabilia from Wilderspool/best supporters who travel to Wigan/longest lasting most passionate supporters etc.who don't even complain if someone from the group of people running their club break wind out of key.

Moon out, Platt in? Feck me that's just about the worst rugby league deal I can think of. Ever. Platt is sh!te and one of those players I've always wanted to slap because he's a c0ck as well, would hate to see him back in a Salford shirt.
Can't blame Moon though he's far too good to be plying his trade at our club. IMO, the best centre I've seen at Salford in the last 23 years. Utter class. Just hope he does go back to the NRL as would hate to see him destroying us for another SL club. With regards Blythe, I can't really comment as not seen enough of him to make a balanced judgment.
It makes me cry when I look at our first choice backline earlier this season and think how good it could've been with a decent pack in front of it. Patten, Broughton, Moon, Gleeson, Williams, Holdsworth, Smith. Can't remember the last time I was so excited about watching Salford as an attacking force. Especially when you take the Long factor into account. It's criminal that it has been ripped to shreds after 1 season.
