Got to say I have very little interest in non-league football, and even less interestin Salford City FC.

However, their unbelieveable 'great escape' had me rooting for them for the last few weeks and I was absolutely delighted (and totally gob-smacked?!) for the club, and particularly its fans, when I heard how yesterday's scores ghad turned out.

Congrats to the Ammies, and the best of luck for next season.

Looking at the sides who we will be facing next year, it's going to be a very strange feeling being home by about 5:15pm from an away game after the number of 2-3 hour treks we've had over the past few years!

Get in there. Unbelievable, I sat down a few weeks back and looked throught the fixtures of all the teams in the mix and though we had absolutly no chance.

Can not believe Salford actually got out of that.
Great news for the club and fans.
What with United winning after looking down and out, and FCUM not getting in the play offs it was a good day all round football wise.

Oh - and excuse the double post - but I feel yesterday's attendance deserves a mention. 3,719. Not bad considering attendances are apparently down and the bubble's burst.

I feel your attendance will actually rise next year as a lot of United fans are saying that the price increase this year is a step too far.
I could never go and watch FCUM but there are a lot of feeble minded people who are saying they will
