Also, due to the rumoured signing of Scott Moore, on the saints forum, I asked if any of their fans thought we were sending Smith back in the opposite direction. It seemed a logical swap from salford's point of view; also meaning Saints weren't completely losing out on both players. The possibility of Smith returning has been raised by one of their own fans now, has anybody heard of Smith going back to Saints?

I'm not trying to suggest anything, but with Smith playing more and more at hooker, and Moore not getting to play much in his preferred position. The move would give us a better hooker and Saints extra cover for Roby/the halves.

From the BBC website...
1038 RUGBY LEAGUE: - Huddersfield will part company with half-back or full-back Gregg McNally and hooker Keal Carlile after deciding not to offer them contracts for 2012.

Now if we're building another young, hungry, mainly British team then I'd take either of those two on board.

I'm led to believe Ade Gardner has signed a new two year contract extention with saints , so at least that will end any speculation of him heading to the retirement home.

Matty Ashurst does look like a promising young player, it could well be announced today. 3 new signings in one day would of been far to much of a culture shock for us Reds fans!
