The club have to write to R.F.L to get permission for the minutes silence, & when that is agreed then the Ref's boss to be informed & then the ref. When they all agree, they then have to ask the opposing team's officials/coach's to ok it. Its not just a matter of "ok, we will do it" from the club, its like everything, there is certain protocol to adhere to.
Would have been a nice gesture but, as posted, just not a case of doing it.
