Well the scenario I was told yesterday was that he`s likely to be sold in the winter to.................................. Saints but in addition 2 x Rugby Union Clubs are interested in him as a Goalkicking Full Back . Good luck to him but he won`t be featuring with the Reds unless his agent comes down to Earth.
I'd see if we could do a swap for McCarthy-Scarsbrook, get him and Caton-Brown playing and we start to have more double barrel names than the England cricket team.
In seriousness if he is going to Saints I'd hope we asked who they would be willing to swap for him, do get the feeling he'll go down the same route as Myler and head off to RU.
Are you being serious...?....you are Brian Noble and I claim my £4.78.
Just to clarify, I would've had him in the team long before now (instead we got Jack Murphy on loan) however with our signings for next year will he keep his place? I hope he does but it's not really the way Salford operate. Although I will be delighted to be proved wrong on this one.

With all due respect, there's little or no chance of this scenario happening.
Yeah, no way will that happen.
He'll go for a player swap, cash or a combo of the two. I feel that his good season with Cas will have just been a shop window. I feel that Cas will probably not live up to their achievements this season for next year. Losing key players will be the big ask of Powell, and I feel a second season syndrome coming on. That's not bitterness, it's just an obvious observation based on the fact that every team outside of the big four or five has always struggled to continue good consistent form after a good season. With respect to Cas, if Saints or Wigan or any other team of similar standing expressed an interest he'd be rightly chomping at the bit.
To think that he'd happily sit around and ignore good offers so he can freely move to Cas after a season nobody yet knows will be successful, is living in dreamland.
Also worth pointing out that this idea that he's so keen to play for Cas he's willing to sit out a year doesn't explain why his agent was trying to pimp him out to Wigan.
Loaning Sneyd to Cas was the best move for all concerned. At the time we thought we had signed a class player in Tim Smith and a good goal kicker in Jake Mullaney, he was surplus to requirements. As it turns out Smith had a shocker and is no longer with the club and Mullaney is likely to be out for large amount of time.
Whilst he wasn't initially signed as their first choice 7, Seymour was, he's grabbed his chance and played well. He's improved as a player and Salford were either going to get a better player than they had back, or the more likely scenario a large sum of money for a player who was probably worth 90% less of that value less than 6 months ago.
I really hope he succeeds, but I can't see him being anymore than an average half back with a fantastic boot. Another Graham Holroyd if you like.

Yes he was!
Seymour was given a trial contract to get him upto speed and to see if he could pressure for a place. Sneyd was always going to be the first choice half.

Of course he was. Seymour was on a trial because of his previous indescresions. I also don't recall seeing Sneyd's name in any Cas fans starting 13 prior to the first game of the season.

http://www.castigers.com/article.php?id=3654 No talk of a trial here , a 1 yr deal with talk of him being a stright replacement for Chase at 6, Dorn came next then Sneyd , Then Finn , and with Ellis giving Powell 5 options at half back , And us being soundly criticized for having 4 options for 2015.
