Not just that, a bad attitude is contagious, if a player is unhappy. It brings the rest down. It's eventually why our hand was forced into letting Chase go, and why we can't buy the deal back for Daz Clark. As he wants to go to Wire

We don't really know that he is unhappy. That didn't appear to be the message Marwan and Martin Vickers got when they met him.
I still don't think we'll see him in a Salford shirt again, but I'm not convinced cas is where he'll end up, particularly if you have signed Luke Gale. Someone earlier said he'd be a replacement for Jamie Ellis, but I can't see it. Ellis seems to be second choice behind Sneyd and Finn, and I can't see you signing Luke Gale just to sit him on the bench. That's why I think he's more a replacement for Marc Sneyd.

We'll see, eventually.
Finn will be cover next season.
Gale will start with Sneyd, providing we can sort the deal out.
Do you really believe that what is best for Salford is to keep a player who wants to be somewhere else? Particularly if that player is first choice where he currently plays, but is unlikely to be if he returns to Salford? Dream on!
A player retained against his wishes is an unhappy player and unhappy players don't perform. So who wins? Nobody! The club's interests and the player's interests are not separate.
Did I say retain him? Salford need to do what is best for Salford. If that is sell him, fine, if that is retain him and get him to sign a new contract, fine, if that is keep him at the club and let him rot in the reserves, fine. But the ONLY consideration the club should have is to do what is best for Salford.

Good luck to Marc if he see's his future elsewhere but any release would have to be on the terms our club agree with. All I will say is a lot can happen in 12 months and what may feel like a good decision right now could prove to be a poor one in the future. I’ve no doubt there will be outside influences, the question is, are they for the best long-term interests of Marc Sneyd or themselves?
I really fail to understand why Salford have such an issue with Castleford over Syned. I don't recall and comments made by the coach, coaching staff, players or chairman relating to Sneyd. The only comments made have been on twitter between your chairman and supporters, which lets be honest, shouldn't be happening anyway. Last year, you took our prize asset which devastated most of the Cas supporters, your chairman rounded up around 50 lemmings and taunted all the Cas supporters all the way through the Cas Salford fixture last season. I have never been to a match where the opposition supporters cheered more for our players than we do. This was in bad taste and your owner was in his element. It seems this may be reversed this year. So be it!!

Didn't Cas go public to say they'd opened negotiations with Salford, only for Marwan to deny any such negotiations had taken place?

So we're lemmings; there were only 50 of us; we taunted Cas fans all the way through the match; our chairman was in his element (and you could see that from your vantage point), but it's Salford that have an issue with Castleford
And yes, we cheered Rangi. A bit. We didn't have a whole lot else to cheer last season.
