Good to see we've been shoved in the (dearer) seated stand, fans being priced out of games these days.
If you had sold more than 170 tickets for the game and the demand wasn't so high for standing in the East stand by Saints fans then you would of stayed in the East. As it happens I think it's the least selfish thing to do from Saints. I'm not having a go at Salfords away support I'm just stating the facts.
So I take it you made your mind up about not going before Saints moved you from the East? to me it just sounds like excuses, not going somewhere because you have to sit down......

Not so as fans who watched from the middle of the pitch at The Willows have now decided to go behind the sticks at Barton to watch their own team play from a dreadful viewing point just because they dont want to sit down
Glorious stuff. Only thing we'll have to cheer all night!
Interesting Saints are using Tom Van and Watkins as a way of honouring the first match at their new stadium and we used some X-Factor no mark.
Another male poster being completely discourteous to a very brave young lady.I don't know much about these things but I suspect she may have polled slightly more votes than there will be spectators in attendance on Friday night.Link
Had these 2 former union players attended on Saturday night no doubt the anti-Sale people would have found reason to moan and there was also the distinct possibility of the 2 gentlemen of a certain age falling and causing injury (to themselves) and thereby giving even more people the opportunity to complain.
I also disagree that the appearance of the 2 gentlemen with successful rugby league careers will be the only thing Salford fans will have to cheer all night.
I have no objection to paying the entrance fee required for the best run club in this country who have proven to be a friend indeed to a friend in need and for their organising biennial trips to Australia for their youngsters.
This fantastic fun night as organised by St Helens hasn't even begun yet but the Salford fans big it up for them:This forum would have been in meltdown if the wind blew a hole in our new stadium...

Daft I know but hey thats what they're doing!
Nobody is stopping you buying East stand tickets directly through St Helens though, or are they?
not going somewhere because you have to sit down......
Like that's gonna happen!

First off, one's a Salford legend and one's a Saints legend so your rugby union comments are completely ludicrous. Secondly, I'm sure precautions could've been taken to help them walk out, even in the snow.
The rest of your post just descends even further into pointlessness.

Nothing at all stopping Salford fans buying tickets in whichever stand they like from the Saints website. You can't expect exclusivity in a stand holding 3 or 4 thousand people when you will only bring a hundred or so. But if you want to stand in the East stand, buy a ticket for it.
