Simple answer no! But you can start one to get rid of Simms! I'd sign that one......

And how many football clubs who chop and change their managers constantly find success? Look at city, they've had a revolving door on the managers office for a while and the lack of stability has brought them nothing. Compare and contrast with United, they stuck with Ferguson even though results were crap, the club was going nowhere and the fans were calling for his head. That stability behind the scenes, the patience from the board and giving his plans time to settle and work paid dividends.

Sacking the manager/coach isn't always the golden answer it first seems. We sacked Harrison and nothing changed - in fact, it became quite clear at the end of that season that it was down to the players. Would getting rid of McRae be any different? I doubt it. Not to mention there's not really anyone out there who could/would be willing to come in and change things for the better.

i dont understand why everyone is like this towards SM,

a woman stood at the back of the shed was shouting verbal abuse towards him at half time against wigan, along the lines of 'you fat bas$tard' etc, when she obviously hadnt looked in the mirror that morning.

Give him more than 6 games into the first of a 3YEAR licence FFS

IMO......it's a bit out of order calling for someone's head on an internet forum.
I don't imagine any of us would appreciate it.

According to a Sunday paper a few weeks back (can't remember which one though) Millward was linked with the job should SM get the boot.

In answer to the original post, NO, I wouldn't sign a petition to oust SM.

GT's post is probably the most sensible post i've read on here for ages! How often do you get to say that about one of his posts?

Firstly,
we need to give him time in SL. I think we played badly at times last season but the squad was very young and inexperienced.

Secondly
the team needs stability, whether long term Shaun is the answer or not this team need time in an atmosphere that is healthy without the backbiting etc.

The players need to accept responsibility.

Cashmere may want more time, but he needs to make the tackles, he isn't doing so at present, this in turn may have more to do with the lack of game time.

The biggest thngs are:
Shaun needs to make some tough calls and dropping a couple of players is a start.

Shaun needs to stop making himself and the club look stupid in the press and on the radio, he sounds as if he is surprised and lacks solutions to the problems.

Steve Simms needs to think about the way he bigs up the players, yes praise Myler but not in the way he did last week.

Short answer is no sacking or petition.

I think I have resigned for capacity to attend away matches, because what i see on the park is making me very angry, i want this club to be up with the best with big crowds watching entertaining rugby. This season the effort on the field as all but disappeared, the rugby is very boring and predictable and the stadium situation just is a long running farce, I am actually sick of the club at the minute if the truth be known. I stood in my usual spot for the wigan game with a wigan fan and his comments were very correct about the team and I felt pain because the truth hurts, and somebody at the club should make some sort of statement about what exactly we are doing and where we are going. I just see despair all around me and going to matches is not fun anymore, perhaps we could up the crowds by making attendance at a Salford match part of a Community Sentence just a thought. :( :(
